The Apple Watch now has a new feature that warns you if you leave your phone behind. While this hasn’t been a feature up until now, it makes a lot of sense now that Apple has implemented it.
Often people forget their iPhone at a coffee shop or at a store without realising it until it’s too late. Now, if you are also wearing an Apple Watch, you will get notified as soon as you get further away from the iPhone.
The feature can be found on watchOS 8 in the Find Devices app on the smartwatch. You can toggle the option to “Notify When Left Behind.”
It’s obvious that the Apple Watch uses a Bluetooth connection to ping both devices. When a user is 30 to 50 feet away from the iPhone, the Apple Watch will automatically get an alert letting you know that you’ve left your iPhone behind.
There would be instances around the house where you would like to freely move around without having to carry your iPhone everywhere.
